Our homestead will not only lead us towards self-sufficiency but it will bring us to a lower carbon footprint. All of the buildings within our homestead will be built using renewable natural building materials sourced locally. There will be various materials including straw bale, cob, earth bag and possibly cord wood.
We will be posting projects here as they are planned and will document the progress of each, as well as create tutorials for each method and project. Home features: Passive solar design, pole building, non-load bearing straw bale walls, earthen plaster, earthen floor, interior clay-straw walls, cob rocket mass heaters, grey water system, and composting toilet
