How to Re-season an old cast iron pan. |
Years of cooking has taught me one thing, I love cooking with a cast iron pan. .There is no better cookware out there. I have used Teflon, aluminium, stainless steel, copper bottom pans, and just none of them compare to the toughness, versatility, and non-stick surface as a well seasoned cast iron pan. I received my first dutch oven 5 years ago and began using it over the fire during our camping trips, I didn't think I could use it on my glass top stove. I have recently started collecting all the cast iron pans I can find, from thrift stores, garage sales and even on sale at the grocery store. Now I have two dutch ovens, four frying pans, a sauce pan, two water kettles, a garlic roaster, and some accessories. I am not done yet either!
